3 Legged Thing’s Kickstarter<\/a> ends in just a few hours, this coming Friday (10-October) at 10:59 AM EDT to be exact. The funding for 3LT’s new Axis straps has been enormously successful so far. It became fully funded in under one hour and therefore has been selected by Kickstarter as a “Project We Love.” Currently it’s received pledges nearly 10X the stated goal.<\/p>\n

More Big News<\/strong>
\nResponding to customer feedback, 3 Legged Thing has previewed QD connectors that can be attached to camera strap lugs. Without these connectors, Axis straps attach only via the camera’s tripod socket. This is a welcomed addition for many of us. Probably most of us.<\/p>\n

QD4-PD and QD-LINKS<\/strong>
\nThe expanded connectivity option is a set of QD-Links that connect to the camera strap lugs and then to the Axis straps. Simple, clean and functional.<\/p>\n

Simultaneously, 3LT announced a square Arca-compatible release plate, with both a QD socket and the Peak Design geometry on the base, so it can be used with both Axis Straps and the popular Peak Design Capture Camera Clip<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new QD-Links and QD4-PD baseplate are still in development, but they will be ready by the time the straps are delivered.<\/p>\n
